A few useful things to know.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. Start with a folder and describe what you want to do. Work is designed for documents, research, planning, data, and many other kinds of work. Developer tools are there when you need them.
Where does my work live?
Local projects live in ordinary folders on your computer. You can also connect to shared projects. AI providers and connected services process the information you choose to use with them; local-first does not mean every AI request stays on your device.
Which AI can I use?
Catamorphic supports Claude Code, Codex, and models connected through API credentials. Availability depends on your accounts and configuration. You bring your own access.
Is Work the same as Catamorphic?
Work is the home for the end-user experiences. Catamorphic is their open-source core, and the desktop app is its reference implementation. Current app releases still carry the Catamorphic name.
